Yeah thanks, that is what I meant...I always get their names mixed up!
I am not sure how the patent effects these types of things, but I do know that Specialized owns the "Horst Link" or FSR design. Much like Joe Lawill owns the "Lawill parallel linkage design" which is much older than the FSR or "Horst Link" and anyone who wants to use it has have to permission and pay a royalty to him, (Joe lawill that is.) I could be completely wrong, but I "think" (emhasis on think..) it may be the same situation with the big S....just throwin this out there, would love to hear more info on the subject if anyone has any...
Yeah, I dont know what size he rides, just assumed he rode a large cuz he is fairly tall...
I wonder if they are going to make a frame big enough for Gee to ride...as it stands, the large Fury is on the small side of a medium...
Sorry to hear about your injury, gettin mangled stinks. Unfortunately elbow pads did not help me, my injury was from a "hand out" impact, I messed up on a pretty big drop in, couldn't roll fast enough to keep from heading feet up and head down straight for the ground, threw out my right hand to break my fall, and shattered my radial head. BUT- I am a firm believer in protective gear, I have ridden/raced bmx, moto and Dh since I was in grade school, and have seen the fad's of wearing gear, and not wearing gear come and go and repeat. Right now lots of people are on the "no gear" kick again, and at the level that many people are riding at these days, I think is foolish, but I did the same thing when I was younger, so not trying to be down on other people, just glad to hear about people seeing the value of it.
Hope your recovery goes well.

yeah, I hear you, do'in all the normal stuff took some getting used to. I still do most things left handed, even though I can use my right, just more comfortable with the left. I can ride right now, just street, and I have been playing a lot of darts, but that still hurts quite a bit, I think it is the sudden start stop motion of throwing. I did a bunch of soft tissue damage in my arm and shoulder. That is what is taking the longest to heal. I tore the interocious membrane in my forearm. it is the ligament that weaves the radial and ulna bones together and controls pretty much all movement of the lower arm. I have pretty much full range of motion, but have a long way to go to get my strength back.
I was fortunate to have a really good surgeon and phys therapist as well, not sure how bad off I would be without those guys..
My radial head was totally obliterated, when I did it my arm literally looked like the bone had exploded...just lumps of bone fragments sticking up under the skin everywhere..
I cant wait to get back on the dirt...glad to hear you are riding hard again, gives me hope and something to look forward to.
Do you have a lot of pain during/after riding?
